Patricia Lilly, Artist
Patricia Lilly is a retired software development manager who discovered a love for painting after retirement in 2020. Patricia tried several mediums before falling in love with watercolor, which remains her primary medium. She finds joy in natural and man-made subjects, and is just sure she’ll eventually master perspective well enough to paint architectural subjects!
Patricia lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where she shares her home studio with two 85 pound rescued lap dogs!
Artist’s Statement
My art is my way of both seeing and expressing the beauty of the world. I use pencil, pigment and paper to experience life more fully and joyfully. Whether I am capturing the natural or manmade essence of a new travel location, expressing the beauty of a landscape, or rendering the beauty of a flower or bird - my art is my way to connect with the world around me. I hope my work brings the same connection to my audience.
